Do I need insurance?
Yes you do need insurance that will cover you for injury and loss of personal
items. Explore Wales will not be held responsible for any items lost or any
injury you sustain during the tour. You will sign a disclaimer at the start
of each tour that states this. Most travellers are covered by a 12-month insurance
bought before leaving their home country. This should be sufficient though
you will need to check the policy details.
What clothes should I bring?
For the summer you will need to bring light summer clothing of t-shirts/vests,
shorts/skirts and swimwear. Appropriate footwear you need will include sandals/flip
flops and trainers/walking shoes. For the evenings and cooler days warm clothing
is needed i.e. jumpers and trousers and a set of lightweight waterproofs.
Basic shower bag and towel.
For the winter bring your warm weather clothes! Due to Wales' mountainous terrain and our position bordering the Atlantic Wales is usually much colder and wetter than England (especially London)!
How much money should I bring?
You should bring money to buy gifts, extra alcohol and bits and bobs! This
shouldn't be more than £10-£20 depending on what gifts and how
much alcohol you consume.
What food will be cooked for us?
You will not go hungry. Breakfasts will be a selection of cereals, fruit or
sausage, bacon and egg. Lunch will mostly be sandwiches, salads and rolls.
Snacks – crisps, biscuits, cereal bars, cakes etc. Supper will be BBQ, Fish&Chips,
pasta, chicken, vegetables etc. Those with dietary requirements should state
this when booking.
