Day 1

Collection from London early morning bound for Wales. We will don our miner’s helmet and lamp and descend a real working coalmine before lunch. We will then head to our first National Park in the Brecon Beacons. Then its onto Caerphilly Castle with its moats and turrets (biggest in Europe), before arriving at Cardiff Backpackers. The night is yours, but we strongly recommend a night on the town in Europe’s fastest growing Capital City.

Day 2

We will pick you up at 10.30am giving you time this morning to explore Cardiff Castle or wander its Victorian arcades. From here we will head to Tenby, the busiest castle enclosed town in Pembrokeshire Coast National park.. After time for exploring we will head onto Bosherston for magnificent views of the rugged, untouched coastline of Pembrokshire, UK's only coastal National Park and discover a 6th century hermit church!! For the hearty its a sea swim at Barafundle Bay (one of the best beaches in Europe according to the Rough Guide).

We will then visit The Preseli mountains, home to a bronze-age burial site and the bluestone of Stonehenge . (How did the bluestone get from west Wales to Stonehenge ?).

We will then stay along the Ceredigion coastline in 'welsh-speaking' Wales.

Day 3

After breakfast we will head North into big-mountain and big-castle country. First stop though is the picturesque Georgian fishing village of Aberaeron before Harlech Castle , probably the finest castle in Wales with both stunning sea and mountain views. From here its onto Beddgelert and to the base of Wales' most famous National Park - the mountains of Snowdonia. Snowdonia's ruggedness, massive and moody landscape will take your breath away.

We will then have time to visit the National Slate Museum - Wales at one time exported more slate than the rest of the other countires of the world combined! Before our accommodation for the evening.
