
Our example All Wales Tour
Explore Wales offer an excellent All Wales tour. We will take you on a leisurely tour, in our comfortable and new 9 seater vehicle, around Wales visiting excellent sites with your own guide who will be flexible to your needs.
We will arrange your accommodation to your specified standards and arrange a suitable route and itinerary. Your guide will be from Wales and it is company policy that all driver/guides are perfectly fluent in welsh and english - this will give you a true feeling for our land! You will have full use of our new 9 seater company vehicle.
Our example slow-paced All Wales tour can be seen below. We have provided examples of accommodations and our most popular route - both these varaibles can be easily changed. It will give you an idea of what we offer. We can also do variations of the tour below lasting 6 through to 14 days.
Day 1
The morning will be spent at your leisure in Cardiff where you have time to
visit the Castle and old Victorian
arcades. In the afternoon we’ll take you to the Museum
of Welsh Life at St Fagan. In the evening we’ll take you down Cardiff
Bay for evening meal. Accommodation at Elgano.
Day 2
Following breakfast we will head to the beautiful Wye
Valley. We will visit the medieval ruins of Tintern
Abbey, Chepstow Castle
and Raglan Castle before
heading the Roman fortress of Caerleon
and back to Cardiff.
Day 3
We will head west past the birth places of Richard Burton and Anthony Hopkins
before arriving at Swansea where you can spend time at the Waterfront
Museum and/or the Dylan
Thomas centre. In the afternoon we will spend time on the Gower
Peninsula, UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Naural Beauty
Its then a 90min drive to our accommodation at a country
house.
Day 4
A full day in Pembrokeshire Coastal National
Park. First stop will be the castle walled resort town of Tenby.
Next will be Barafundle
and Bosherston before Pembroke
Castle. Next will be the smallest city in the UK at St
Davids. Next will be the 5000 year old burial chamber of Pentre
Ifan in the Preseli Hills home of the stones of Stonehenge. For supper
we will stop at the picturesque town of Aberaeron
for Fish&Chips by the seaside! Tonight we will be staying at Pentre.
Day 5
We will head into big-castle and big mountains of North Wales today. First
stop will be Harlech Castle
before moving on to the Italianette village of Portmeirion.
Next we will be at the base of Snowdon
– the highest peak south of Scotland where there is an opportunity to
walk a section or take a train to the the summit of the mountain. Then will
be the National Slate Museum
at Llanberis before accomodation at Betws
y Coed.
Day 6
First stop will be Bodnant Gardens
before heading to arguably the most impressive castle in Wales at Conwy
and then the seaside resort of Llandudno
for a stroll. In the afternoon we will visit Llanfairpwillgwyngyllgo………..
that place in Wales with the really long name before massive Caernarfon
Castle and back to Betws y Coed.
Day 7
There will be time to explore and shop in Bewts
y Coed, the main village in Snowdonia NP before heading south . We will
pass through Blaenau Ffestiniog, the home of world slate and an opportunity
to ride its famous steam train.
We will then head through mid Wales where the driving is relaxed and spectacular
and into the Elan Valley.
We will then stay in the Brecon
Beacons National Park at Nant
Ddu Lodge
Day 8
First stop will be a descent into a working coal mine at Big
Pit before heading to Aberfan memorial and Cerphilly
Castle and Castell Coch. We
aim to arrive back in Cardiff my mid-afternoon allowing plenty of time for
onward travel.




Ultimately, the itinerary of the tour will be decided by you. Costs will
be determined once itinerary is complete and will be payable once on the tour.
As a guide the above tour will cost £665 per person based on twin/double
rooms with 6 people on the tour, or £750 based on 4 adults on the tour
in twin/double rooms. Included will be accommodation as listed, breakfasts
